An-Najah’s PhD Program in Physics is accredited by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education

Date:
Thu, 26/04/2012

With the beginning of the academic year 2012/2013, the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education has accredited the new PhD program in Physics at the Faculty of Graduate Studies-An-Najah University.

The accreditation of this program came as part of the strategic plans that the University implements to support and develop scientific research in Palestine. This would also help expand the scope of scientific research and encourage research work in various fields, in addition to the creation of specialized research groups at the Department of Physics.

Prof. Rami Hamdallah, President of An-Najah, mentioned that An-Najah is the only university in Palestine that offers a PhD program in Physics; this would help provide the Palestinian society with highly qualified and experienced staff who specialize in the different fields of physics.

Moreover, he emphasized the University’s continuous quest to develop research and academic life of the students so as to meet the needs of the local society. This will also help the University to excel locally, regionally as well as internationally.

The new program will enable students who hold a Master degree in Physics to pursue their PhD study in the different fields of physics.

The PhD program in Physics is the second PhD program that An-Najah offers, the other one being the PhD program in Chemistry.
